This charming, old building has its own distinctive character. the cozy rooms and comfortable beds were perfect for us as old folks. the staff's helpfulness and friendliness made our stay even more enjoyable. the nearby shed for parking bikes and motorbikes was a convenient amenity. And the food in the restaurant, especially the Schäufele, was absolutely delicious. our experience at this hotel was amazing, and we never felt neglected or forgotten.

The location of this place is quiet and perfect, just a short walk from the train station, while Cafe Denkmal nearby is great for tea and treats.

The rooms at Zum Fehmelbauer were great! They had a private entrance which made it feel like we had our own little hideaway. The flat-screen TV was a bonus for our kids, they loved watching their favorite shows before bed.

One thing I personally didn't like was that there was no closet in the room. But hey, some people might not mind that at all.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town. It was so charming to be inside the city wall and I loved exploring the narrow streets and alleyways. The hotel was also conveniently located between 5-10 minutes walk from the railway station, making it easy to get around. The breakfast provided was delicious and generous, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel facilities were great, with a 300-year-old well in the bar and a view of a ruined castle from the river nearby. the cleanliness and the location in the center of this small town made my stay truly enjoyable.

The best place to stay in Karlstadt! Friendly staff, suggested local shops. Perfect amenities: Wi-Fi, Bar/Lounge, Restaurant. Received delicious welcome drink. Enjoyed watching Flat-screen TV. Great for hiking, cycling. Kids' menu available. No pets, no smoking. I always choose it for city breaks; never disappointed.

The kids were thrilled to explore the charming streets of Karlstadt on bikes, and the location made it easy to explore the nearby river and castle ruins. The staff at the inn were incredibly helpful in providing us with the bikes and giving us tips on the best routes to take. It added an extra level of adventure and fun to our stay.

For dads, it would be great to have some more family-friendly activities available at Zum Fehmelbauer.
